Spinal Surgery

Andrew Irving is a New Zealand and internationally trained orthopaedic surgeon. He completed his undergraduate training at the Otago University School of Medicine before completing the New Zealand orthopaedic training programme and becoming a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in 2018.
Andrew undertook two spine surgery fellowships, training under Mr Peter Robertson at Auckland City Hospital and Mr Peter McCombe at the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital.
He holds a consultant appointment at Middlemore Hospital, focusing on spine surgery within the supra regional spinal cord injury service.
Andrew now welcomes referrals to Ormiston Hospital.
